External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Hall (surname). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20060719015848/http://www.census.gov:80/genealogy/names/dist.all.last to http://www.census.gov/genealogy/names/dist.all.last
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

ridiculous
[edit]The last name "Hall" doesn't mean "Kind" or "friendly" and can't be attributed to Viking origins. The idea that the English (of all people and this is an English surname) would ever think that the Vikings who raped, plundered and pillaged England for years would treat anyone with kindness and friendliness within in their houses, as the article states is completely absurd. The citation for this claim is from some online family crest website which is not a reference from any scholarly source. Which is one of Wikipedia's big problems. And that is the complete lack of citations OR citing sources that are really dubious. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.138.89.132 (talk) 06:15, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
