There's a good picture of Lindenthal at [1]. I've (just now) emailed the Historical Society which was exhibiting the picture. Please don't upload it until they respond with information about its source and creation date. Lindenthal died in 1935, so the picture could still be under copyright. On the other hand, the Hell Gate Bridge, which the site is all about, was completed in 1916. So it could go either way; we'll have to wait and see. grendel|khan 14:17, August 22, 2005 (UTC)

Still no response. I'm poking at them again to see if they'll be more helpful now. grendel|khan 12:25, 27 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

On another note, the text makes many references to Petroski, 1995, etc. But does not explicitly call out the reference. The 1995 reference is "Engineers of dreams : great bridge builders and the spanning of America " by Henry Petroski New York : Knopf, c1995. I am new to this. Need we add that? How do we? Thanks.
