A fact from Grimsby Ice Factory appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 14 April 2015 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Congratulations on making it to today's listing on the "Did You Know..." section of Wikipedia Main Page. The process of making it the listing takes a bit of effort and involves the quick cooperation of many editors. All involved deserve recognition, appreciation, thanks and applause.
In Operations:
In the first paragraph, I believe the writer misunderstood the text of the quoted source. Article here says that "Upon the introduction of electricity, Linde ammonia compressors were utilized as replacements." but unless there is some other detail missing, the quoted source article [1] seems to indicate that two Linde compressors were replaced by "J&E Hall." Also, the source article then refers to the replacements saying "...were the largest machines produced by J&E Hall..."
The article is accurate to the source in saying that the first compressors were Pontifex, and the original source is not clear when the Linde machines replaced or supplemented the Pontifex compressors, but unless I am missing something I think it's clear that the machines replaced were Linde, and the replacements remaining in the factory today are J&E Hall.

I reviewed the paragraph. Thank you, yes, I think that is better. It makes it clear what the current compressors are and gives us at least part of the history of the Pontifex-Linde-J&E progression.144.47.162.55 (talk) 18:20, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
