Does anyone know the origin of the name of this cocktail? I'd be pleased to know.

Origin of the drink

[edit]

I looked at the source for the origin of the grey hound and I came up empty handed. I have a copy of the first edition of the savoy cocktail book from 1930, and I could not find a listing of this drink. I also checked were it mentions the "grapefruit cocktail", and it doesn't seem to mention the grey hound there either. I also don't know why it's listed under "Non-standard drinkware". The info box has the glassware used as an old fashioned glass and the image shows it in a martini glass. SaltyCalculator (talk) 21:02, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
