The term greater region can not be limited to the SaarLorLux region of Saarland Lorraine Luxembourg Wallonia Rhineland Palatinate French community of Belgium German speaking community of Belgium. When official announcements refer to this region, using the term greater region, this is no name of this region but an effort not to have to use the complete name, because it´s to complicated or the well known name SaarLorLux, because the representants of Wallonie and Rhineland Palatinate do not feel represented.

A citizen of Strassbourg, for example, reding an article "Problems of the greater region" in his local newspaper, would never expect to read an article about the problems of SaarLorLux. He would expect to read an article about the macroregion Oberrhein.

You can discribe the content of the term greater region and discribe SaarLorLux+ as one example of the use of this term.--Thw1309 10:34, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
