Caged Area

[edit]

I would like to see information about the caged area on the blue line platform in this article. --NeoVampTrunks 05:28, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was supposed to run up to another headhouse on City Hall Plaza, but now it's just a staircase to no where which the MBTA uses to store useless shit. 66.31.9.250 (talk) 21:37, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
More likely is that when they built city hall and city hall plaza above, they felt they didn't need an entrance/exit there anymore. Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 22:14, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

4 tracks? 2 Islands?

[edit]

In the little sidebar on the right side of the article, I'm completely lost as to where you're getting "4 tracks" for the Green Line from. There are a total of 3 (one of which hardly used, but it's there). I'm also not sure where "2 islands" for the Green Line comes from either. It's one very large somewhat triangularly shaped island. 192.138.214.116 (talk) 15:47, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Green Line congestion and Red-Blue Connector

[edit]

The section on Green Line congestion and Red-Blue Connector duplicates material in the Blue Line article and is out of date. I propose trimming it with a {{main link to the Blue Line section.--agr (talk) 21:25, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Put the lengthy main paragraphs in the Blue Line Massachusetts_Bay_Transportation_Authority#Blue_Line article (which is a sub-section of Projects underway and future plans), as the connector is an extension of the Blue Line. Have a {{Main link in these articles: Red Line, Green Line, Blue Line, MGH (they are a major proponent of the connector), and these stations: Charles Street, Bowdoin, and Government Center (this article). — Lentower (talk) 21:44, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Green Line congestion is only one reason the connector has been proposed. Another is to reduce the transfer time between the Blue and Red Lines. The additional reasons are why the main Connector text doesn't belong in this article. — Lentower (talk) 00:10, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
