To do

[edit]
  1. Explain his name. It appears that Sabinus was adopted by an Arulenus Caelius, perhaps with the praenomen Gnaeus. (Or that was his at birth.) See if Salomies or Syme discussed this, inter alia.
  2. See if he has any attested public career other than his consulate. And if he had any children/descendants. (There is the enigma of the Titi Flavii Tatiani -- whence they came, how they are related to the house of Vespasian.)
  3. A very reliable Wikipedian included this Sabinus as a member of the Sabinian school of law. That alone indicates there is more to be uncovered about him than is in this start article. -- llywrch (talk) 21:49, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Tactius describe Caelius Sabinus as the brother of Flavius Sabinus, so the consul of 47 was also his father." This is a lie. [1]. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.127.182.30 (talk) 17:46, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
