Picture needed.

[edit]

A picture is needed to explain the distinction between a gilet and a tabard or waistcoat.

Erm: How is the picture that has been added a Gillet? it is captioned a Gillet, and yet, is the same picture from Waistcoat? http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Waistcoat Which is which? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mchicago (talkcontribs) 13:38, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gilet is the French word for waistcoat, and that is why the French version of Wikipedia has it. However, in the English language "gilet" is not used to describe a waistcoat. It's used for the earlier, proto-waistcoats prior to the 20th century. I suggest using the picture of the white corded French waistcoat.--142.161.85.239 (talk) 22:36, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Poor link.

[edit]

The hyperlink on the words "Body warmer" redirects you to the page you are already on. I suggest it is removed. 86.133.188.215 (talk) 22:53, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
