From what I've gathered from sources there is no real marijuana or hashish smoked on Getting Doug with High. It is mainly wizard smoke though there is some tobacco mixed in on occasion. -Teetotaler 20 April, 2014 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.183.133.165 (talk) 00:37, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This is admitted by Doug Benson on the 16 October, 2013 episode with Anthony Jeselnik, about 4 minutes and 40 seconds in, approximately 20 seconds after 4:20. After taking a pretend sip from an empty coffee mug he tells the audience that everything there is "props" (not to be confused with the actual comedian Greg Proops), i.e., is just a prop. Just a minute before that he had admitted that everything they use on the basement set of the show just happened to be in the basement already when they got there. At best, Benson is a mock-smoker, not a pot-smoker. Moreover, he admits that he didn't start smoking until 28 years old, missing the important cutoff point of 27 by one year. Benson is right though that alcohol sucks (and is for losers). -Teetotaler 20 April, 2014 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.183.133.165 (talk) 04:19, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
