[edit]According to uboat.net, on her second patrol, U-223 sailed from north of the Azores to southern Turkey on 16 May 1943, then to a point west of Portugal (via the Spanish mainland) a day later! To achieve this, I would like to know what speed she attained, given that all the infoboxes in Type VII U-boat articles state that the maximum speed of the boat was 17.7 knots.
I have ignored this part of the 'voyage'.
