Per MOS:IMAGES and WP:NOTREPOSITORY, a collection of images which do not contribute to the readers' understanding of the article should be removed. However, the creator of the article appears to be edit-warring to keep this gallery in place, and even to remove gallery maintenance templates from the article. I therefore invite discussion here. Long list of places on the route

[edit]

It strikes me that to avoid this article simply being a promotion for the route, we need to make sure the images used are only those which illustrate key, notable, tourist features of the route, with better captions explaining their significant and contributing to the encyclopaedic explanation of the subject, and also cut down the excessively long list of locations through which the route passes. The most prominent locations can be mentioned and wikilinked in text describing the route, and a map highlighting this route would be of significant help to the article. If anyone can find a free one or make one themselves, that would be useful. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 12:50, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
