[edit]Connected to this George Linder convicted of manslaughter in 1915? FloridaArmy (talk) 15:18, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- User:FloridaArmy - Probably not. The subject of this article is said to have established an AME church in 1857, which means that he was probably born in the 1820s or 1830s, which is consistent with a short political career around 1870. If the same person was convicted of manslaughter in 1915, the news would have probably referred to an elderly negro or an ancient freedman. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:58, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- Okay. A judicial summary. Still probably not, at the age of 85, and would probably not have been able to get legal representation in 1915 anyway. Robert McClenon (talk) 19:00, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed, likely not the same person, but the question is whether it's a relation. FloridaArmy (talk) 22:29, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
