I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "auto":

  • From National School of Business Management: "Other Recognized Degrees". University Grants Commission.
  • From Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery: EDU. "Federal Universities". FEDERAL MINISTRY OF EDUCATION. Retrieved 19 July 2019.
  • From Nalanda College, Colombo: "The Sunday Leader Online". www.thesundayleader.lk.
  • From Patrick Mendis: "Archived copy". Archived from the original on 2007-09-30. Retrieved 2007-03-09.{{cite web}}: CS1 maint: archived copy as title (link)

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 15:17, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

UGC approval of KDU

[edit]

This university is not governed by the UGC, and it has not been approved by the university grant commission through a university order or any other regulation. However, some editors claim that it was approved by UGC despite the fact that it contained incorrect references.Chathu69 (talk) 11:37, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Association of Commonwealth Universities not an accreditation institute it is a international network of universities. KDU is only member of Association of Commonwealth Universities. I have corrected this point in the article.Chathu69 (talk) 12:04, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Controversies section

[edit]

I've added all university-related controversies to a new section. I believe it will support in maintaining the article's neutral point of view Wikipedia:NPOV.

This section needs cleaning up to remove editorial writing and bring it to line with more encyclopedic writing which is the standard in Wikipedia. Cossde (talk) 07:14, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy

[edit]

@Chathu69: Please stop disruptive editing and re-adding disputed content without taking the WP:BURDEN to gain consensus. You have failed to give a controversy and saying that you or a group oppose it does NOT make it a controversy. Putting a citation and then writing creative interpretations and your opinions cannot be used as a loophole to avoid WP:OR and WP:NPOV guidelines. - UmdP 13:42, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
