I tagged the article with a dated no reference tag. The creation of an article with no source or references opens the door for an WP:AFD as lacking WP:NOTABILITY and possible WP:OR concerns. The use of external links with no references is inappropriate. The purpose of external links can be found here and using external links as a source may be copyright violations. I am not experienced at updating tags and the EL tag is not exactly what I want but brings light to the issue. Otr500 (talk) 07:13, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I definitely recall a 1961 incident involving Green and the New York Yankees.Bill Stafford was pitching well against the Senators and 'the Yankee broadcasters were predicting victory and announcing that Stafford would be their guest on the postgame show.

Well,Gene Green won t he game for the Senators with a late-inning pinch hit grand slam home run.

Stafford apparently stormed out of Yankee Stadium without speaking to anybody, and the broadcast team were offering numerous excuses as to why Stafford would NOT be guesting on the postgame show. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.23.5.11 (talk) 18:36, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
