This article is a biography of a living person and needs to be properly sourced with reliable third party references. I have left a message for the page's original creator to asked that he/she revisits to improve the article.--Plad2 (talk) 07:26, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This source states that Friedman set most of her books in New York which suggests she lived there for at least past of her life. This records a Frieda Friedman (born May 8, 1905) died in New York on September 29, 1999; and this records another Frieda Friedman (born January 27, 1905) died in New York on September 17, 1988. I've had no luck in trying to establish the full DoB for the author though, and the name is so common it's possible neither of the above is the one we're after! Still, it might help...Cheers, DerbyCountyinNZ (TalkContribs)01:12, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much for your research efforts. I took your message as impetus to expand this article; maybe some of the new information shall help establish the dates of her birth and death. Be advised that the SCSU page is not a source, though. It copies (and slightly embellishes) what I wrote years ago in the Wikipedia article. Ringbang (talk) 17:48, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
A lot of possibilities in NY: 11/27/1906-8/?/1977, 1/27/1905-9/17/1988, 1/30/1906-12/8/1988, 1/18/1903-9/11/1993, 12/3/1906-2/13/1999, 5/8/1905-9/29/1999. And a quick search didn't yield obituaries for any of them. Star Garnet (talk) 17:36, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
