Name of Beechey Island
[edit]According to http://www.biographi.ca/en/bio.php?id_nbr=3773&interval=20
Contrary to popular belief, Beechey Island, off the southwest corner of Devon Island (N.W.T.), was named in honour of his father.
The same is reported in the article on Beechey island. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.199.165.10 (talk) 20:42, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
