The new title is misleading--the hazardous part is not the raceme. Any suggestions for a more descriptive title?--Curtis Clark 21:07, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 16:20, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Diaspore

[edit]

This article needs to define the term diaspore, a technical word used in the title of the article, within the article, probably in the first paragraph. --KP Botany (talk) 20:18, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That works well, Curtis. Also, although it's wikilinked in the first line, I think leaving in the see also to diaspore is appropriate with this article. --KP Botany (talk) 21:48, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I worked on it some more, somewhat separating the diaspore from grasses called "foxtail"; more separation is needed. --Una Smith (talk) 00:58, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

General or specific term

[edit]

The term foxtail seems to be used as a general term and that might confuse people. The Encyclopædia Britannica says it is in the genera Alopecurus and Setaria of the family Poaceae but I do not know what that means. I assume that that definition excludes some of the plants listed in this article. Sam Tomato (talk) 03:41, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
