Look for review next week. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs talk 12:38, 12 April 2020 (UTC) Overall the article is a solid start, but it needs additional work to meet criteria in my eyes.[reply]

  • I think the main issue is one of broad coverage and comprehensiveness; there's basically only four to five paragraphs of body material here, and I don't think that really is enough coverage. There's all of four reviews of the material, covering a single paragraph; next to nothing on recording or legacy. The lead contains content not found in the body.
    • As an additional problem, I think the article presumes far too much prior knowledge of Shaw's career. He switches bands in the space of a sentence and no explanation is given. A more thorough explanation of his career would help contextualize the record better.
  • Sections of "Release History" and "Chart Performance" are apparently unreferenced.
  • I have issues with some of the sourcing used, which seems to take personal opinion and treat it as fact, e.g. Acknowledged as the most cerebral of the dance bandleaders, is cited to a single opinion. Later on, the explanation for why he quit and went away for his health is again given to a single comment. This really isn't the rigorous reliable sourcing I'd expect for an established historical arts figure.
  • File:Four Star Favorites.png—do you have any evidence the copyright was not renewed, hence the Public Domain designation?
