Wikipedia is not a dictionary. Please, please, let's not make it one. Dictionaries have their place, and encyclopedias have theirs; one doesn't go to an encyclopedia to find out information like this, one goes to some specialized kind of dictionary, glossary, or (indeed) "jargon file." Unless there is some way in which defining this jargon can actually help support a nonsemantic article, please don't clutter up Wikipedia with it. You can always create your own wiki dictionary and usage guide. In fact, I am thinking more and more that people should do this, so that we don't get this sort of thing in Wikipedia. --LMS


I don't see any point in all of foo, bar, foobar, baz, quux?, mum?, fred?, barney?, xyzzy, thud?, beekeeper? -- having pages of their own. They will just be stubs: see foo for an example. I plan to merge & redirect, any objections? -- Tarquin 11:49 Oct 4, 2002 (UTC)
