Works attributed to FlorusFlorus – Move to WP:COMMONNAME, which better satisfies all five WP:CRITERIA. The current title came about from a merge of three articles in 2018. There is enough biographical information in this article for it to be about the person or people attributed as Florus, matching the treatment we have at Category:Ancient Roman writers for most of those writers notable only for their classical texts. • Support. Looking over the article (but not having checked sources other than Chisholm's article in EB—the DGRBM and perhaps OCD seem musts), it's not clear whether we have one, two, or three different people represented, and only the epitome of Livy seems notable enough to support an article, although as written it's not too big to be treated in this article. "Florus" is the better title, if his works and biography don't need to be treated separately, and (and I'm a big surprised) the title isn't used for anything besides a redirect here. Let's make it the other way around. P Aculeius (talk) 13:32, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Brill's New Pauly treats all of these works as those of a single author named Florus. They treat his nomen as Annaeus/Annius and his praenomen as either P. or L. They do not show the Epitome as attributed to a Julius, so that may be a late and unreliable name. Srnec (talk) 16:09, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
