Women in Science Editothon Output

[edit]

I am a new editor who created this pages as part of the "Women in Science Editathon" at the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Flora Philip being the first female member of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society, I felt it appropriate to draw attention to her existence in the Wikipedia context. I would be glad if someone could help create content for this page, rather than simply deleting it.--ScienceForScotland (talk) 18:26, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your desire to help out Wikipedia. She seems to be a notable enough person for consideration as an article. The problem is, the article is entirely sourced from copyrighted material at the moment. Might I suggest starting over at WP:AfC? It would give you plenty of time to add material (and invite others to contribute) without having to worry as much about being scrutinizes for its shortcomings. --Jprg1966 (talk) 18:30, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... (your reason here) --ScienceForScotland (talk) 23:15, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have introduced a personal synopsis, and cited the appropriate source.

New work

[edit]

I am not sure if Flora did much original discovery in maths. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.183.72.219 (talk) 16:28, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
