Inconsistent information on location of the historic church building

[edit]

I'd like to resolve the uncertainty about the address of the old church building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, that is the subject of most of this article. The National Register gives the address of the listed building as 305 N. Stonewall Street, but the church's website gives the address as 647 N. Stonewall Street.

The church building shown in the article is at 647 N. Stonewall Street -- Google Maps Streetview shows it at that address. Google Maps also indicates that there is no 305 N. Stonewall Street in McKenzie. The 300 "block" of Stonewall is denoted as "S. Stonewall", and Streetview doesn't show anything resembling a church in the vicinity of 305 S. Stonewall. I'm hoping there's a simple explanation for the discrepancies. My best guess is that the street numbering scheme was changed sometime between 1993 (when the church was listed on the National Register) and 2014.

Can someone local explain the discrepancy -- and supply a source that can be used (and cited) as the basis for a statement in the article that explains the discrepancy? --Orlady (talk) 03:07, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
