Controversy?

[edit]

I fail to see how the box-art can be considered noteworthy in it's controversy - simply because a 'games journalist' claims there is a controversy does not make it so. I think there is an obvious issue of neutrality when referencing an opinion article on whether a box-art cover is controversial or not. If this does meet Wikipedia's criteria then any journalist can make an article about any fictitious controversy and have it added to Wikipedia as fact. I'm sure you don't need to think hard to see how this could, and is, abused to push a bias into any article that a journalist wants. 46.208.179.254 (talk) 23:31, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Just because someone/some people complain about something doesn't mean you have to accept it. Lots of people have bought up this question. I myself believe that part isn't necessary. Because as it's mentioned in WP:CRYSTAL Wikipedia is not a place where you can promote/publish rumors. If other editors too agree with this opinion then it's OK to remove that section. Other editor's opinion is strictly necessary in this situation--Chamith (talk)
I think what should truly be discussed as far as controversy is concerned is the fact that the game was released with several bugs, glitches and in a nearly broken state. The save system corrupted games on Playstation, the save system is broken on the PC, many people are experiencing game-freezing black screens. Why isn't this discussed more, instead of just bias from game reviewers? I mean many people are upset, if you go to the main Ubisoft patch page you'll see several people are upset, some people even are wanting a refund because the game isn't working properly, its broken for many people.

New stuff to add

[edit]

This just in. I can't add it now, but will do if nobody else does. --uKER (talk) 23:25, 4 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Appears to be homosexual" ? Really? That's what you're going with? 82.32.160.97 (talk) 20:45, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's what the reference says.--Chamith (talk) 13:53, 19 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'll have this to you soon JAGUAR  20:53, 2 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Initial comments

[edit]
  • "Far Cry 4 is an open world action-adventure first-person shooter video game" - some slight overlinking here. When the opening sentence is overlinked, I usually de-link video game, but I'll leave that up to you
  • "and journeying through the game's main story" - how about progressing?
  • "the costume of the game's antagonist Pagan Min was inspired by Ichi the Killer" - I would re-word this to inspired from Ichi the Killer, as it's referring to a specific character in the film
  • "The player-character is equipped with a digital camera, which allows hi to mark" - hi?
  • "and eventually Loot locations" - should loot be capitalised? I haven't seen it elsewhere
  • "However, the Map Editor did not support competitive multiplayer levels at launch" - does it support it now?
  • "Ajay is not able to leave the country as the royal army" - I think Royal Army should be capitalised, as I've seen it before
  • "An Easter egg ending can be found at the beginning of the game..." should this paragraph be in the endings section if it's from the beginning of the game? Feel free to ignore if I'm wrong
  • Escape from Durgesh Prison subsection is unsourced
  • "and therefore they avoided bringing back any characters from Far Cry 3 except for of Hurk" - error
  • "so that they cold bring those ideas back to the studio" - could
  • "The Shangri-la missions are not related to Kyrat" - Shangri-La

I thought about buying this game when it came out, but I don't know why I didn't. Nice work on this article, the prose is in good shape and references all check out. Once all the above are clarified then this should be good to go. JAGUAR  21:13, 2 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Jaguar: Thank you very much for the review! I have fixed all the issues you have raised. AdrianGamer (talk) 09:24, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
