Citing Copyright Permission?
[edit]How do you cite the fact that you have permission to quote something from the author himself? Do I need a certified letter from the author? This is getting ridiculous, it's getting to the point where you cannot make statement without that statement being challenged. And don't point me at the Wiki pages about using copyrighted material, they don't help in this situation, there are no examples of how you can state you have permission to use copyrighted material.
A little guidance please, not just "see the rules" posts. Thanks! Kedamono 06:21, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Permission was granted to John Reiher from Rich Tucholka. Verify this any time by sending an email to Tucholka@Hotmail.com unless you need a citation of the authors verification of the citation. Thanks.... Rich Tucholka —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.41.40.21 (talk) 08:59, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
Tone of the quoted material
[edit]OK, I do agree that the tone is more romantic than prosaic. I'll work on redoing that. That may solve the copyright problem. I'll review the section, but it would be nice if someone could make suggestions as how to proceed. Kedamono 06:21, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh for crying out loud, people. The issue isn't whether anyone has permission to use marketing copy verbatim. This is an encyclopedia article. Marketing copy has no place here. Write a damn article about the game, citing reliable third-party sources, or don't. But if the advertisement is still here a week from today, I am nominating the article for deletion. 12.233.146.130 (talk) 21:14, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
