Dan Cruickshank
[edit]Can anyone add anything about Dan Cruickshank's work to find the "rubble", as seen on the BBC's One Foot in the Past? Andy Mabbett 12:21, 15 November 2005 (UTC) I remember seeing the programme. So it was not made up. Also why has the Euston Arch Trust web page been deleted? I wanted to follow the link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.193.109.49 (talk) 20:17, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
"First attempt to demolish the arch"
[edit]In the reference given for the subsection Euston Arch#First attempt, Stamp talks first about 'removal' of the Arch, but the rest of the paragraph makes clear he means relocation, not demolition. I intend to correct this, which will require changing the headings beyond this paragraph. I think the existing heading structure could do with revising anyway — at present the 'History' section covers the 19th century only and i'm not sure three levels of headings are necessary as the article isn't all that long. John Hayes - not Transport Secretary as claimed
[edit]John Hayes was described as "McLoughlin's successor as Transport Secretary", but this was not accurate. Patrick McLoughlin was succeeded as Secretary of State for Transport by Chris Grayling and Hayes has never held the post. However Hayes had two spells as a Minister of State for Transport (ie a ministerial position under the Secretary of State), and was serving in this office and the time of the November 2016 statement mentioned in the article. I have therefore modified the article to accurately reflect this. Dunarc (talk) 21:59, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

[edit]It would be useful if possible to get a photograph from a similar angle as c:File:Euston Arch.jpg showing what now occupies the space. McPhail (talk) 13:23, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
