Taking on the review as it's listed at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews, and I'd like to knock a few off that list... J Milburn (talk) 13:33, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Do we not use the present tense for plots? There is a tense shift which, while I see how you're using it, is a little jarring
  • "from previous escape attempt." from a previous escape attempt, or from previous escape attempts?
  • "to provide research" You can't really provide research- conduct research? Detail the results of her own research?
  • "The chairman of the New Media Arts Board, the branch of the Australia Council that granted the development money," Could you perhaps work in his name?
  • To my eyes, BBC News (or just BBC) would work as the publisher- you don't really need a "work".
  • For some periodicals, you list a publisher. For others, you don't. I wouldn't bother, but consistency is good.
  • Personally, I don't like italicising website names- Polygon works fine as just the publisher (if you disagree, feel free to keep it your way.)
  • I wonder whether a category like Category:Immigration to Australia may be useful?

Overall, very strong. An interesting choice of topic- earlier today, I commented on a "academics don't care about video games!" thread on Talk:Main page, but here we have a video game clearly worthy of attention in more than one area of academia. J Milburn (talk) 14:31, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please check that you're happy with my edits. J Milburn (talk) 14:32, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
In order:
  • The first paragraph is all in past tense because it is the backstory that happens before the game begins. The player is presented with that information in the past tense, so it doesn't feel right to convert it into the present tense.
  • Fixed.
  • I'm not sure how much that has to do with the game, bu I added in what she saw.
  • Done.
  • Yeah, I guess you're right there. Done.
  • If the website provided a publisher, I added the publisher. Some do, some don't. When it comes to video game review websites, it can be like that.
  • I put everything in what I thought were the correct slots in the cite template, and let it do the rest. If it wants to add italics, I'm not going to argue with it.
  • Added. Why not?
  • Other than one change which I undid (I never change what's inside direct quotations, even if it's not grammatically correct), all of your copy edits were fine.
Thanks for the review J Milburn. Sven Manguard Wha? 18:22, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The article's looking great- I'm not going to quibble over reference formatting for GAC purposes. Nice work; I'm promoting now. J Milburn (talk) 10:23, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
