Note to self and others: as used here, airbase appears to be an administrative term not a geographical location, ie not an Air Force base. Need to research from the original Elinruby (talk) 18:05, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Images

The current images were originally selected for the French Wikipedia article, but that does not automatically mean they are the best available, or that they have been 'carefully selected'.

I propose several changes.

The Infobox image should be the unit badge, or failing that - a Rafale aircraft which is their current equipment (2024).
The image of the underside of a Mirage IV is very striking, and shows the delta-wing to good effect. But it is not appropriate in this article.
The image of the Mirage IV at Kleine-Brogel (originally in the Infobox) requires a small explanation that the aircraft was 'just visiting' this Belgian airbase.
The two images showing the unit insignia on the tail of Rafale serial 322 are only useful if there is some additional explanation - I cannot provide that, so those images should be removed in favour of a better image of a whole Rafale aircraft.

If/when the reasons for two different insignia is properly explained, those images can be returned - if still desired. I shall delay my edits for a few days pending some response(s)
