Translation error
[edit]Re: http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Eres_t%C3%BA_%28Mocedades_song%29, the article on "Eres Tú," the translation in the first line is wrong. Eres Tu does not mean "you are," rather it means, "it's you." This is an idiomatic expression. In Spanish, you say the equivalent of "You are you," whereas in English we say "It is you." Further, "you are" makes no sense as a phrase, whereas "it's you" does. Anyone who is bilingual in Spanish and English knows this. It would be easier to ask the man in the street about it than to try to look up an idiomatic expression in a grammar book. Further examples, "Soy yo" means "I am I," or "it is I." ˜˜˜˜ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nedcrouch (talk • contribs) 16:30, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

– Per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Ten years after Eres tú was created as a dab page, there is still only one article with "Eres tú" in the title. That is, only this one song named "Eres tú" has an article on Wikipedia. --Relisted. George Ho (talk) 00:49, 10 May 2015 (UTC) Scolaire (talk) 13:42, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
- Support, what's the use of a disambig page with only one actual article? We don't even need Eres tú (disambiguation), since there are no other "Éres tu" articles. We could maybe leave a hatnote for Eres Tu (Belanova song), which exists as a redirect. Victão Lopes Fala! 18:07, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
- From Miguel Sandoval (composer): "In 1927, Sandoval signed a contract with the Italian tenor, Beniamino Gigli. The two toured extensively and gave as many as sixty concerts a year. They performed in all 48 states, including Havana, Cuba. Sandoval wrote two songs for Gigli to be performed in concert: Vurria and Eres Tú. Eres Tú was recorded on an RCA Victor label, along with Sandoval’s arrangement of a tango in D by Albéniz, called Quisiera Olvidar Tus Ojos. The association between Sandoval and Gigli was extremely beneficial for Sandoval, as he began attracting a group of admirers similar to that of Gigli."
- This is an example why WP:DAB says the opposite of the !vote above, that we do list on dab pages notable content and topics that appear in other articles. In ictu oculi (talk) 23:52, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- Support as this will be the main sense by far. μηδείς (talk) 18:10, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:Naming conventions (music) - there is another es:Eres tú (canción de Belanova) with an article, it's just that on en.wp the article is under the English version What I've Been Looking For. The English song by Andy Dodd & Adam Watts from High School Musical was given new Spanish lyrics by Denisse Guerrero and released as a single by Belanova: In ictu oculi (talk) 23:44, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- "Eres Tú" (Mocedades song), a 1973 song by Juan Carlos Calderon, performed by Mocedades and covered by various artists
- "Eres Tú", a 1932 song composed by Miguel Sandoval
- "Eres Tú", a 1965 song by Los Brincos
- "Eres Tú", a 2006 Spanish version by Belanova of "What I've Been Looking For", from High School Musical
- "Eres Tú", a 2012 song by Carla Morrison

The lyrics
[edit]The direct translation of lyrics from Spanish has no correlation to the lyrics of Touch The Wind, which was recorded by Mocedades as an English version of Eres Tú.
A real translation may be like this:
So like a promise, it is you, it is you
So like a morning in the summer
So like a smile, it is you, it is you
It's how, it's how, it is you
All my hope, it is you, it is you
So like a fresh rain in my hands
So like a strong breeze, it is you, it is you
It's how, it's how, it is you
It is you, like the water of my fountain
It is you, the fire of my hearth
It is you (you are something like that)
Like the flame of my bondfire
It is you (you are something like that)
Like the wheat for my bread
Like my poem, it is you, it is you
Like a guitar in the nighttime
Like my horizon, it is you, it is you
It's how, it's how, it is you
It is you, like the water of my fountain
It is you, the fire of my hearth
It is you
Like the flame of my bondfire
It is you (my love, you are something like that)
The wheat for my bread
