Well Yos9p has recently been implicated as recognizing the a1-6 linkage in N-linked glycans of proteins that are then subject to ERAD. Basically it is thought to be the 'gatekeeper' along with Hrd3 to the Hrd1/Der3 E3 Ub ligase complex. (See Quan et al, 2009) 66.183.56.107 (talk) 07:41, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
