Speedy deletion tag

[edit]

Elna Baker is a published author and her stories have been featured on legitimate radio programs. Thev50 (talk) 01:00, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, and as you can see the suggestion that the article be deleted has been declined. I've tried to clean it up and "wikify" the article a bit, but it needs to be better sourced or there's a chance it could be sent to articles for deletion which could result in it being deleted. I'd recommend looking for some sources that demonstrate Ms. Baker's notability, these two are a decent start. --Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 07:54, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality

[edit]

I just deleted this comment recently added to Baker's infobox:

"(so citizenship in Mexico and America?, Remember Nationality/Citizenship doesn't equal Ethnicity)"

This request for clarification should be discussed on the talk page. Does she have dual-citizenship? Was she born in Mexico? ——Rich jj (talk) 02:11, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know whether Baker has dual nationality. However, she has identified herself as "Mexican," fwiw: a quote from the website for Baker's 2003 one-man show Mexican-Mormon:

IT'S A...MEXICAN-MORMON is a comedy that examines what it means to be half Mexican and half Mormon. The play explores identity, religion, ritual, and the absurd life of Elna Baker, an actual Mexican-Mormon.
