Brief feedback if possible

[edit]

Hi @Kautilya3:, before I started editing this article, you had laid the foundations for the page. I wanted to ask, how do you think it is developing? I just wanted to ask before I detail the Panchayat section. Do you think a separate page could be created for the recent Panchayat elections in JK...? Cheers DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 06:13, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Somehow this article fell off my radar. I didn't do any more than basic corrections earlier. So it is mostly your page now. And it looks good, with lots of info. But the content I would like to see is still not there. (It needs to be extracted from the books cited in the Bibliography.)
  • To cover Panchayat elections, we have to consider WP:DUE. Even their prominent mention in the lead sentence may be undue.
  • You say "bicameral state legislature" but only the Legislative Assembly is covered in the page. Please check the other states to see how it is done.
  • Wikipedia text shouldn't be implicitly dated, with terms such as "so far". You need to specify the date ranges exactly, so that we can detect when the content goes out of date.
  • The Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir is a WP:PRIMARY source. Can you find any secondary sources for the material? Even if you use it, you need to specify which parts of the Constitution you are referring to.
  • It is not clear what provisions of the two Constitutions (Indian and State) are used and for what purpose.
  • Something needs to be said about the connection between JKNC and INC, but I can take care of that.
That is it for the quick review, but I have it back on my radar now and will monitor it. Cheers, Kautilya3 (talk) 07:14, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I will consider these and implement them slowly into the article. Thanks. DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 08:17, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
