I think that the link to Gilbert de Clare is wrong. Her father was the Gilbert de Clare, 7th Earl, and her brother was Gilbert de Clare, the 8th Earl. But the link goes to a Gilbert de Clare, 4th or 5th Earl (it's not quit clear). I'm assuming this is one of their ancestors. But whoever made this page should fix it.

Hi, I did not create this page, but I've added sections and made minimal edits to the text in order to keep information in the appropriate sections. Margaret Donsbach (talk) 00:13, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Can this list be removed from the body? It only repeats information from the infobox and is usually not included in the body of medieval biographies Seraphimsystem (talk) 11:15, 2 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Menage a Trois

[edit]

I removed this line "One foreign chronicler even alleged that Edward was involved in a ménage à trois with his niece and her husband." - it is an unreferenced primary source. I was unable to confirm that there is such a source after reviewing William Stubb's "Chronicles of the Reigns of Edward I and Edward II" - there was no mention of Eleanor de Clare by name in this source, and discussions of Hugh de Spencer were about unrelated matters. If you want to add this back in, please specify the chronicler by name. The only sources I was able to find for this were web pages that did not provide attribution.
