Relatives

[edit]

Is he related to former North Carolina governor and presidential hopeful Terry Sanford? Since Tennessee was largely settled by North Carolinians, it seems likely they both come from a family of Sanfords with a tradition of Terrys. A relation, if it exists, should be mentioned in both articles. Dvd Avins (talk) 03:23, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edward Terry Sanford's paternal ancestors hail from Connecticut, not North Carolina. I'm not familiar with Terry Sanford's lineage. Bms4880 (talk) 18:58, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
