Mary C James
[edit]Mary James is a jazz artist manager who advertises her services publicly on her website, including writing WIKI pages. She is, over time, updating this page, no doubt at the request and monetary reimbursement of Edition, as well as created many other pages by the Label's artist. I would request this page is deleted as it's clearly made as a prop by the label for commercial reasons rather than general info. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SchmetmallDE (talk • contribs) 18:31, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
- Someone put a COI at the template at the top of the article, so that's one step. COI means "conflict of interest". One other thing you might want to check is the editing history of the article. This gives you the names of people who have worked on it, when, and what changes they have made. If you go back to the Article page, then click "View History" at the top, you'll see the page hasn't been edited by Mary James since November 2017. The next step is to go through the article one sentence at a time to see if it follows the rules of Wikipedia. If she is connected to Edition, she shouldn't be editing the article about Edition. But it looks like it has been years since she has touched this article. So I'm not worried about it, but I understand your concern.
