Drowsiness?
I was surprised to read that Ebastine does not cause drowsiness, because for me it's the most sedating allergy medication I've ever tried -- I can't function in the afternoon when I take Ebastine. I checked, and "drowsiness" is listed as one of the most common side effects of Ebastine: http://home.intekom.com/pharm/lennon/kestine.html
On the other hand, the two cited studies do state that it does not cause drowsiness. 213.112.197.39 (talk) 18:36, 12 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note! The studies say it doesn't cause more drowsiness than placebo, on average. Your weblink says "Patients should, however, be warned that a small number of individuals may experience sedation." – so there is no contradiction. Sorry to say this, but you just seem to be unlucky to be under the few.
- I corrected the article from saying "causes no drowsiness" to "has a low potential for drowsiness". --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 19:45, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
