1839 fire
[edit]Apparently there was a serious fire at Eastport on 6 July 1839 which destroyed half the town and two ships, damage estimated at $240,000. This from a snippit extracted from the Boston Transcript and reprinted in The Morning Post in London, UK on 6 August 1839. Mjroots (talk) 06:23, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
