DySPAN

[edit]

The standardization group SCC41 is now officially called DySPAN. I propose to actualize the text accordingly, to move the article to DySPAN and to redirect IEEE SCC41 as well as IEEE 1900 to DySPAN. --Polytropos-Commons (talk) 13:09, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, time this gets updated. Since the redirect is there, we need an admin to do the actual move. I will add the tags and help with the text a bit, getting it more into wikipedia style guidelines. W Nowicki (talk) 20:51, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

IEEE SCC41DySPANRelisted. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:35, 13 July 2011 (UTC) Use more modern name of the group[reply]

Alternatives would be to spell out the acronym as Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks. That would comply with WP:TITLEFORMAT which says to spell out names in titles. I would prefer not to prepend the "IEEE" since that leads to even worse alphabet soup. W Nowicki (talk) 22:24, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
