Dún Chaoin

[edit]

Why is this article under a placename that does not exist, which has no legal status and which cannot be found on any current map? El Gringo 02:54, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Most westerly point

[edit]

There are 3 westerly points on the maps of the Slea Head area. Two are named, Sybil Point and Clogher Head. The most southerly, un-named, is I presume, Garraun Point. According to Google Satelite Maps, Clogher, at 10.4744xx is slightly further west than Garraun at 10.4736xx. Someone with a GPS could help verify which is right.--Rye1967 04:13, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Move to Dún Chaoin

[edit]

Why not move this page to Dún Chaoin? SNALWIBMA ( talk - contribs ) 07:22, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Because of Wikipedia:Manual of Style (Ireland-related articles)#Naming articles: English versus Irish. +Angr 14:35, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Can this be revisited? I'm not sure if the naming rules were different at the time, but now it states that where "the Irish name is official and has gained favour in English, use the official Irish name", which suggests the title should be Dún Chaoin Luigii249 (talk) 17:05, 18 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
