Cost benefits

[edit]

The cost benefits section is poorly worded. Could someone update it to make it read smoothly? 68.84.184.173 (talk) 19:30, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccurately quoted study results in Cost Benefits section

[edit]

The Brookings Institute (actually District of Columbia Crime Policy Institute) study quoted in the cost-benefit section is actually a validation model of meta-analyses as applied to cost-benefit analyses, and uses incompatible data sets. This is acknowleged by the authors in the introduction, which reads "We note that the goal of this research is to validate the model, in particular to compare effect sizes generated here with effect sizes generated b y others using the same or similar data. In this model iteration, only the prices of treating District of Columbia residents are drawn from DC data. Thus, the findings in this paper should not be interpreted as an evaluation of the Superior Court Drug Intervention Program (SCDIP)." This wikipedia article does exactly that.

Simone??

[edit]

Who is Simone K mentioned in the first line? I don't think it should be in the article without a reference to someone. If there is a reason to include this name, it should be clarified in this line. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wildcard6 (talkcontribs) 19:43, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
