S with overdot

May be used in Italian for [z] between vowels when it contrast with [s] (like in the old literary norm). Cf. e.g. [1] with [2]. Any other sources? 176.221.120.20 (talk) 23:35, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ṥ (and lowercase ṥ) redirects here, but doesn't occur here, other than in some naked mentions under ‘Letters with dot’ and in the ‘list of pre-composed characters’. Can we say anything about it? ◅ Sebastian 20:13, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
