Dipositronium

Will someone please expand this article greatly, based on the 4 external articles and also what the Positronium article says? This is a very important subject, especially now. Radical Mallard Fri Sep 14 15:17:20 EDT 2007

Sorry, didn't write an edit summary, the positrons were not captured by the electrons they capture electrons forming Ps which enters voids in the material. If the positrons were bound to the electrons in the atoms they would not be able to form Ps2 as the density of Ps would not be high enough.

It's like them in that it's a four-particle system, with two positively charged and two negatively charged particles, but different in that all particles have equal mass, making it a much more symmetrical molecule. Also, in molecular hydrogen, the difference in mass between protons and electrons means that the protons can be viewed as approximately stationary, with a well-defined distance between them (0.74 Å.) This is not possible for dipositronium, where all interparticle separations can only be treated as parameters of the wave function. Spacepotato (talk) 05:43, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
