Correct spelling of surname
[edit]I am confused about the spelling of his surname.
Surname on uniform [1] and official profile of CoJS on MoD site [2] say Tchankotadze.
However, news article on the very same MoD site says Chankotadze [3]. Also lots of other sources have that spelling [4] [5].
I'm not good at English spellings of Georgian surnames, so it would be very good if someone who has deeper understanding would solve this matter. GVilKa (talk) 19:06, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- I would really prefer "Tchankotadze" but inasmuch as "Chankotadze" is still the most frequently used form, we should retain it, methinks. Georgian national system of romanization would render the surname as "Ch'ank'ot'adze". --KoberTalk 04:12, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
