[edit]Demetra Kenneth Brown (1877-1946) was a Greek-American author, born on the island of Bouyouk Ada, Sea of Marmora. Her early life was passed in close touch with the Turkish people, but many of their customs revolted her, especially the prearranged marriages. She ran away from home to escape such a marriage...
A Greek passes her early life in close proximity to the Turks, whose customs revolt her, esp. the prearranged marriage, and then she flees to the US to escape from the exact fate. Perhaps it was Greek customs that revolted her then? Please provide citations and edit to make this logical... --Free smyrnan 08:49, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
