Episode Descriptions
[edit]Why do some people insist on deleting the episode descriptions? There should be elaborated on, not deleted. --Touchmypickle (talk) 18:39, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- Escape Orbit deleted that above comment. That is inappropriate. --Touchmypickle (talk) 19:25, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes it was; however, it is also inappropriate to be adding unverified plot summaries of unaired episodes. Do not add them again. Matthewedwards : Chat 20:13, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

We should try to find a cite for the summaries. They look accurate. In the mean time, I am going to mark them as needed a citation. --Maria987 (talk) 20:22, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- Then I will remove them, again, and protect the page from editing so no other unsourced stuff can be added. The onus to provide citations is on the person who adds the information, not to just add it and tag it with {{fact}}. How do "they look accurate"? We have no idea what will happen in the episodes next year. Matthewedwards : Chat 20:32, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- I am looking for a cite. However, the only place I heard the information came from an online chat with a show runner, as the season has yet to air. I am not sure how to cite that. Calm down. --Maria987 (talk) 20:34, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- How on earth does "Johnny rapes Jenna for telling and then Sav gets a machete and slices Johnny's head off" or "Riley punches Derek. Derek's face is messed up even more so he has to get plastic surgery to fix the damage." or "Snake's big snake gets a bite mark from spike, when he goes to the doctor to get stitches the doctor thinks he has his leukemia again." look accurate? They're a joke. They're all hoaxes in all likelyhood. Matthewedwards : Chat 20:36, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- Don't get so hysterical. Rape has occured several times the show already. Also, a main character (J.T.) was killed two years ago by a stabbing and died in a puddle of another man's urine. The show has a great deal of camp, in my opinion. I didn't write those summaries and they can certainly stand to be re-written, however, they hardly sound like hoaxes. They sound like how the show has degraded in quality over the past few years. Relax. --Maria987 (talk) 20:42, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- Again, how does "Sav gets a machete and slices Johnny's head off" sound legit? Find a source, post it here with the {{editrequest}} template, and I or another admin will add it. But right now the page has been riddled with over 30 edit conflicts over the last 48 hours. Matthewedwards : Chat 21:24, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- I take it you are not a frequent viewer of the show. That sound entirely plausible for Degrassi. --Maria987 (talk) 13:38, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- As it happens, I've written 10, soon to be 11, Featured pages on DTNG. I most certainly am a frequent viewer. Matthewedwards : Chat 21:58, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- 11 featured pages? That's nothing to brag about. Seriously, get a life. I'm glad we're not talking in real life. I'm a girl, so you would never be able to stop stuttering. --Maria987 (talk) 01:58, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, you certainly know what's what. The fact is, I have watched the show, and all the previous ones. I also know you're not a girl, User:Boycottthecaf. BTW, I'm married with kids. Good luck ;) Matthewedwards : Chat 05:53, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

I note the protection on this page was labelled as "Edit warring / Content dispute". It is not. This is a clear case of vandalism and addition of false information by a series of blatant sockpuppets. As mentioned above, the plot summaries are unsourced and extremely unlikely for a tv teen drama. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 08:11, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I clicked the wrong option but I didn't see much point in messing with the protect log just to change the rationale. Matthewedwards : Chat 21:58, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- I won't opine whether a preview is good enough to be a plot summary. Plot summaries are a bit of a twilight zone in terms of verifiability and original research. Interestingly, this one plot summary for the season premier[1] appears to be well enough sourced, because it comes from the distributor(?)'s promotional website. Wikidemon (talk) 06:57, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
"Why cant this be love" is about sav meeting his future wife and there battle to stay together. "Innocent When you dream" is when claire has an emergency in her family. "Keep on loving you" is where kc still has love for claire so enter them matthew edwards boss ass. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kenver (talk • contribs) 21:25, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Do you have any current sources saying so? 117Avenue (talk) 00:43, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
there should be more info on Why Can't This be love. that is also the wrong title. it is called Broken PROMises.--Jampackofun (talk) 16:48, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
- As explained in the "Copyright problem removed" section below, copying episode summaries from external sources is a violation. You may expand the summaries for the episode which have aired with your own words, if you like. Broken PROMises is the promotional title being used by TeenNick, the official episode list is at the reference cited. 117Avenue (talk) 00:06, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
ok should'nt that be a note? like note: aired in usa as broken PROMises?--Jampackofun (talk) 18:37, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- Don't know, DiamondMonster has removed that and the Love Games notes before. 117Avenue (talk) 22:09, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Full Protection Please!
[edit]It would be amazingly awesome, yes, amazingly awesome, if someone would protect the page. The obviously fake summaries just keep being added, and they are starting to be the same. Each has to do with murder, or something of the sort. So, admin, do us all a favor, and protect this page until after the season starts to air! - Mortetviolachaud (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:33, 5 September 2009 (UTC).
Episode Title References
[edit]Do/Are some of the episode titles a reference to songs of Michael Jackson: "Just Can't Get Enough" (Don't Stop Til You Get Enough), "Wanna Be Startin' Something" (Wanna Be Startin' Something), "Beat It" (Beat It), "Keep on Loving You" (I Can't Stop Loving You), "The Rest Of My Life - Part 1-4" (One Day In Your Life), "Thriller pt. 1" and "Thriller pt. 2" (Thriller)? -Ashley92995 (talk) 04:51, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Just Can't Get Enough is a song by Depeche Mode and is referenced to that song, Thriller is not an episode title and Keep On Loving You is a song by Reo Speedwagon and is referenced to that song. Not sure who the song The Rest Of My Life is by, but it's not a reference to Michael. Beat It and Wanna Be Startin Something are the only references to Michael's songs this season. They are not necessarily a tribute to him because the episode titles were chosen prior to his death. The Hipsterrr (talk) 20:27, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- I had a feeling that they weren't but I was just curious, thanks for answering my question. Ashley92995 (talk) 07:41, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- The Rest of My Life might be a reference to a song by the band Sloan, except the song came out in 2003. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.66.57.83 (talk) 18:07, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
December 6th air date?
[edit]Are we entirely the air dates both parts of "Why Can't This Be Love" is accurate? On the degrassi.tv homepage, under "Next Episode", it says that Season 9 is a wrap, implying there will be no more new episodes in the recent future. 173.32.156.95 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:19, 27 November 2009 (UTC).
I just checked the listings for the next two Sundays and there is no episode of Degrassi either week. I believe there is no more Degrassi Season 9 until the New Year. Also there is only 5 more episodes before the big Movie (Is that going to air just as last season's movie did? Right before the next season?). So my guess is, we'll have one episode a week after the new year for 5 weeks. Also, No idea if the Sav episode description is real. Why would Sav's parents bring in his arranged wife if he had made it clear lasty season that he wanted to be with Anya period. Are his folks being sneaky 23:14, 30 November 2009 (UTC) samusek —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.14.180.139 (talk)
Nancy Markle may not exist
[edit]"The executive story editor is Sarah Glinski, and Matt Heuther the story editor. The script supervisor is Nancy Markle. Episode writers for the season are Duana Taha and Brendon Yorke. The director of photography is Jim Westenbrink, and directors are Phil Earnshaw." -- check this part, the name Nancy Markle is known from a hoax campaingn, which does not mean that there can't be a person with this name, only that it should be double-checked. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.101.59.163 (talk) 20:16, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Love Game (US special)
[edit]Should we mention that "Looking For a Girl Like You" and possibly "Somebody" is being marketed as a special in the US under the title "Love Games"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.78.70.183 (talk) 01:04, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I would think that this fact should be included. Although a citation would be helpful. Does it mention this on any official website or anything? ISmellDonuts (talk) 06:09, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

US and Cananda Air Dates
[edit]The July airdate for the 4 parter is for USA too. As the same thing for season 10. (As I said in Talk:Degrassi: The Next Generation (season 10).) --Jampackofun (talk) 07:23, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- We have to be absolutely sure before posting stuff like future airdates, read Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. 117Avenue (talk) 20:31, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Plots
[edit]Stephen Stohn sent me an email on myspace. I screenshot it, and here is the link to it. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj39/supermattx14/degrarssi.png It doesn't say when it will air, but it has a description! --Jampackofun (talk) 01:40, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, let's hope others think that it passes reliable sources. 117Avenue (talk)
- Sorry, but it fails four times over. Firstly Myspace is not a reliable source. We have have no way of knowing that the person posting there is who they say they are. Secondly, photobucket is not a reliable source, we have nothing to demonstrate that this screen shot is what it claims to be and not fabricated. Thirdly and fourthly, it is self-published original research by Jampackofun. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 11:22, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Merely Curiosity-
[edit]Will Degrassi Takes Manhattan become it's own Wikipedia article (like Degrassi Goes Hollywood)? Donatrip (talk) 08:24, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not sure yet when the appropriate time would be, if there is enough content for an article. 117Avenue (talk) 20:09, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
- Well they got it up within a week of me posting this...I must be a fortune teller or something. Thanks for answering me 117! Donatrip (talk) 03:34, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Less than 13 hours after your post, and less than an hour after mine, makes me think Diamond Monster is still watching this page, and decided to write the article instead of reply here. Never the less, he was able to add more info than I could have. 117Avenue (talk) 04:31, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
