- Have you played both? The only real connection is the character Polly White, and she mentions the train station from the last game and what happened there. That's all. This isn't really a sequel. PaulaW 18:11, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

Besides the Dark Fall itself, Polly is the main connection. But in Lights Out, other characters from the 1st are mentioned, like a book from Timothy Pike and a box made by Andrew Verney.
Can somebody help me understand? I must be really stupid right now, but I don't get the ending. I couldn't hear what was being said at the end, so if someone can give me a script, I'd be greatful. And others reviewed that 2/3 of the way in the game, there is a huge plot twist that some people didn't like. What was it? The (SPOILER) future? And what *is* Dark Fall? Is it Malakia (though that's not how it's spelled!). If anybody could help me out to understand this wonderful game, I would be so happy. Thank you. Fantasysci5 16:31, 12 May 2007
- Interesting, I don't remember anything about Timothy and Andrew in this game. The thing people hated was that your character goes to the future and finds out that the anachronistic and otherwise messed up stuff in the different time zones was simply caused by a confused robot space probe named Malakai who needs to find his way home to the future. Unlike the last game which had a more "acceptable" ancient, evil place that was disturbed by 20th/21st century people.
- The name "Dark Fall" probably has more to do with the last game than it does with this, I think it's just to show that this game is somewhat similar and a sequel to Dark Fall.
- About the ending, it's similar to the last game, a simple You've-changed-history-and-therefore-you-have-no-memory-of-it ending. Malakai basically says that "You are not my enemy" (remember all his threats in the game?) "You are good" and since you programmed the correct date into his computer "He will return to his rightful place and everything will be normal". Notice how after this scene, the lighthouse light is now on, which means everything is how it should have been, you changed time, you and everyone else have no memory of any of the strange stuff that happened because it "didn't happen" now. Too bad the game wasn't subtitled like the first one. You can watch the beginning and ending videos again, just open the Dark Fall: Lights Out folder in your hard drive, there should be two video files. I hope this information helps you.
