Hecatompylos
[edit]According to the Hecatompylos article and other sources that I've seen, Damghan and Hecatompylos are two separate places, about 30 km apart. Mikenorton (talk) 17:17, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
Notable people
[edit]Please only list people who qualify as notable under Wikipedia criteria. In general, either the person is already the subject of an article, or they are prominently named in an article (for example, as a member of a band), or you are getting started on writing that article. If the person's connection to Damghan is not mentioned in their Wikipedia article please include a source citation. If they are notable, have no article, but are prominently named in a Wikipedia article, please use a piped link to that article (and section) from their name. If you are inserting a name prefatory to writing the article about a notable person, please cite a source in this article for their notability and for their Damghan connection. Thanks. See in particular Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Lists of people. --Bejnar (talk) 19:46, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

Length of introduction (lead)
[edit]The second paragraph of the "Introduction", after the first two sentences, is all about the past in Damghan, some of which does not seem exactly pertainent to the city. Regardless, this extensive material does not belong in the lead and, as appropriate, needs to be integrated into the "History" section or one of the other sections below. --Bejnar (talk) 21:04, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
I fixed the lead section and rearranged some of the article. I tried not to alter it too much. It is a shame about the lack of references because it is an interesting piece and beautifully written.--OddsBodkins (talk) 05:40, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
