Next time, please do not blindly create an article like this via direct copy/paste of the season section. Regards. YE Pacific Hurricane 19:32, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Meteorological history

[edit]

I am just bringing to attention the fact that the article's current section under the heading of 'Meteorological history' has been compiled almost entirely of information that is unrelated to the topic of the section. In addition, some facts are wrong, such as the fact that Cyclonic Storm Maarutha made landfall in India (it was actually Myanmar, on the other side of the Bay of Bengal). This section needs to be fixed. ChocolateTrain (talk) 22:29, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unless the MH and impacts are expanded upon within the next few days I think it might become reasonable to merge this into the season page... --MarioProtIV (talk/contribs) 03:30, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Damage reports aren't even in yet... YE Pacific Hurricane 03:35, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

$1.9 billion damage total

[edit]

To the anon users who keep adding this in: I have no idea where the $1.9 billion damage total is coming from as countless Google searches haven't uncovered a single source that mentions it (or any other monetary value for that matter), so unless you can provide a citation for it, please desist from reintroducing it back into the article. ~ KN2731 {talk} 12:34, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
