A part of American society?
[edit]I only read the first paragraph, but already I suspect this may need a closer look.
For example, the last line of the first paragraph reads as follows:
- Countermovement groups are a part of American society that try to compete for government legislation to support their own views.
Why is American society highlighted here? Are countermovements somehow unique to America, appearing in no other societies or cultures? If not, then methinks this sentence is in need of amending.
