Coordination Office for the Preservation of the Written Cultural Heritage → Coordination Office for the Preservation of Written Cultural Heritage – the correct English translation of the German name has no additional "the" Originalerhalt (talk) 15:52, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- Support. While I'm not fluent in German, if that’s the correct translation and both terms are acceptable in English, we should use the one that best reflects the original name. UnspokenPassion (talk) 18:07, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- Weak support: I'm not sure but if the correct translation doesn't include 'the', then let's go with that. Waqar💬 09:19, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- Just to give some context: the coordination office didn't really operate at an international (English-speaking) level before 2021, that's why there aren't that many English sources or citations using the name. Since 2021, the translation "Coordination Office for the Preservation of Written Cultural Heritage" has been in general use and will feature on this upcoming academic publication: https://www.degruyter.com/document/isbn/9783111386713/html?lang=en Originalerhalt (talk) 09:38, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
