File:Colton dixon.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Colton dixon.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:Colton dixon.jpg)

Birthday Needs Good Reference

[edit]

On April 28, 2012, I added diff the Citation Needed tag per WP:NOCITE. I confirmed that the cited references in the article does not mention the birthday at all. When the article was initially created, the reference cited does not contain any birthday info too. What's worse, online research reveals, they're just mirroring content of Wikipedia. That would just be similar to WP:Circular References. Please help. If any of you guys can find a website that does not mirror the content of Wikipedia, please fill the birthday CITATION NEEDED tag. Thanks - SyncSeth (talk) 01:50, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Birth Name

[edit]

There are many editors that add "Michael" to Colton Dixon, without providing any sourced reference. I've checked several websites that doesn't mirror Wikipedia content per WP:CIRCULAR and can not find a reputable reference to support "Michael Colton Dixon". Per WP:BLPSPS, to "avoid self-published sources unless written or published by the subject." So far the one's I see that use "Michael Colton Dixon" are fan sites in Facebook and Twitter. If you could find a good reference supporting "Michael Colton Dixon" please update it together with your reference. Until then, it will remain "Colton Dixon". Feel free to opine. - SyncSeth (talk) 20:52, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
